Funny Bit of Searching

Posted by KTC on 15 September, 2008

I had a weird compulsion to search out articles on Polyandry this morning. Dunno why really. I mean, I do lean towards it on the spectrum of Poly but I’m by no means a strict regulator of how my relationships develop.

While searching, I found a number of interesting (and some outright hilarious) articles and forum entries on the subject. A few of the posters took what I consider to be the enlightened view and pretty much adopted a “live and let live policy regarding non-monogamous relationships. As can be expected, there were that same minority that somehow were on a crusade against anything they didn’t know or understand. I tended to skip over them in favor of the few intelligent postings I found.

One thing I have noticed about my search is the growing prevalence of the term online. When I first started searching for it a while ago, you’d hardly find more than an article on Fraternal Polyandry in Tibet and Nepal. Even that was a fleeting link at best. Now there’s apparently people all over more openly discussing it on a wider variety of sites and forums and without the raucous condemnation one would expect. Also, if these mysterious forum people are to be believed, a lot more people are practicing the relationship style.

I’m glad it’s becoming more well known. More power to them says I. What goes on between consenting adults should be their business and no one elses.

I cannot tell you how happy I am to hear (read) someone say that! To quote your last line, “What goes on between consenting adults should be their business and no one elses”. I couldn’t agree more. The fact is I consider what I call “MY SEX” my business. It’s of no importance ( or at least shouldn’t be ) to anyone else. I’m tired of the slander and gossip that goes on because of it. It has no reflection on me, my job, or my character. As far I am concerned I want to know and experience all I can while I still am able too. i am not hurting anyone and I am enjoying my life for the first time in well ever. I have a great boyfriend whom I love and our open relationship makes me love him even more.
