Yay Exterminator!

Posted by KTC on 15 October, 2008

He’s coming Friday! He’s coming Friday!

DIE ROACHES DIE!!!

It sounds cruel, yes, but the little…so and so’s may well be the reason I’m scratching like everything and wheezing. This whole thing didn’t start until the furniture, and by extention they, got here.

Roaches have been proven to be one of the primary reasons for asthma amongst children and others living in roach-infested areas. Roaches have a place in the world, I guess, but their places is not around me! I hate the critters, and while I will sweetly tolerate spiders and other various little critters if I see them, I will go postal on roaches, earwigs, and silverfish. I find them repulsive and annoying as well as probably health hazzards.

I remember my childhood. The place I lived in as a child used to be drowning in Roaches of all varieties to the point where thousands of them would be in the throws of death from ceiling to floor when the management would set off a roach bomb.

They’d tell us to leave for four or five hours every August and, when we came back, you couldn’t see the walls, floor, or ceiling for all the dead and dying roach bodies. My mother and I used to have to sweep them all down from the ceiling and off of the walls before putting them in the trash and throwing them out.

I would have paid spiders to live there thinking back on it.

It’s weird too. This is actually the first time I’ve seen them since I was, maybe, thirteen years old. I forgot how quickly they can move. Thankfully, the Exterminator came today.

I feel guilty for wishing death upon any creature but I’m also happy to see the little so and so’s go. If there were another way to make them leave though, I’d take it. 8-/
