I’m Guess The Military Doesn’t Want Me…

Boo hoo. It’s stuff like this that almost make me cherish the more painful aspects of Bipolar Disorder but I’m not ashamed of having it. I’ve got quite a lot of pride regarding the Bisexuality and both items are a part of who I am.

Apparently, a recruiter decided to do a little waltzing about and threw a nasty diatribe at one Corey Andrew of Jersey City.

“GO BACK TO AFRICA AND DO YOUR GAY VOODOO LIMBO TANGO AND WANGO DANCE AND JUMP AROUND AND PRANCE AND RUN ALL OVER THE PLACE HALF NAKED THERE.”
— U.S. Army recruiter Sgt. Marcia Ramode, using her military email address to respond to Jersey City resident Corey Andrew, after Ramode learned Andrew was gay. (More, More, More, and More)

Lovely, isn’t it?

It is uncommon odd that she managed to hold onto her job despite saying this. It shows an obvious lack of professionalism considering the position she’s in. It also seems strange to me that they’d want to keep her considering how hard it’s been for them to recruit and retain people lately. Perhaps the higher ups really don’t want more people?

The Brits and Israel (OUR STAUNCHEST ALLIES *Sousa March plays in accompaniment*) seem to have no issue with Gays openly serving, so why does the American military? (More, More, More, and More)

Ah well, I don’t pretend to understand the machinations of the American Military System. Keeping the sociopaths, barring a lot of able bodied people from joining on some archaic premise that they’d somehow “interfere with unit cohesion”, and pretending the psych cases already there don’t exist. Weird.

Anyway, many thanks go to QueerJoe’s Knitting Blog (fellow Aries Knitter) for posting the story.
