The Ambient Twilight Zone

First night with Ambien was a semi-success. I started getting tranquilized about twenty minutes after taking it and, as soon as I got upstairs, was able to fall into some sort of stupor within ten minutes of laying down. Funny thing was, I could still hear everything going on around me. I still had perception even though my body was totally relaxed.

I don’t want to look at the contras but I’m wondering if that’s normal or rare with people who take Zolpidem.

I’m not complaining though. Even with all that, I’m more relaxed than I’ve been in a while. I don’t know if it could be called ‘sleep’ though.
