The Completion of My Goal is Complete

I’ve formally done it. 31 December of 2007, I made a promise to myself that I would go a year without frivolous spending. I would, instead, show financial restraint, responsibility in economics, and maturity along with a good dose of minimalism. I can proudly say that I have done that and, now that its complete, I find myself a changed person. I don’t feel the need for the same wasteful items I once desired and am now the Empress of Cheap.

The historical timeline of my goal can pretty much be found on my 43things under the goal itself.

“The goal is not to have but to be, not to own but to give, not to control but to share, not to subdue but to be in accord.”
– Abraham Heschel
